Builders is excited to enhance our product portfolio with Commercial Auto insurance, designed for the construction industry and available exclusively as part of our multi-line accounts. This product gives agents a simple, streamlined way to offer your clients coverage with one trusted carrier.

TARGET APPETITE

• General contractors: residential, commercial, and remodelers
• Specialty trade contractors
• 2+ years in business (preferred), with acceptable MVRs
• 1–10 power units per account preferred, 11–20 eligible with UW approval
• Local radius up to 50 miles preferred
• Vehicles Class 6 or lower

DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum age: 21
• Maximum age: 70
• Minimum 36 months of driving experience
• Principal owner must meet all driver qualifications and cannot be excluded

INELIGIBLE RISKS

• Monoline auto
• Vehicles that require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• GVW (single or combined) over 26,000 lb.
• Tow trucks, tractor trailers
• Vehicles not licensed for public roads
• High-performance or high-value vehicles ($150,000+)
• Motorcycles, ATVs, golf carts

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Loss runs for all available years, up to 3 prior years
• Submit to BOL 2.4
• Driver list: name, DOB, hire date, license class/number
• Vehicle schedule: VINs, year, make/model, cost new

Additional information may be requested based on account size, vehicle usage, or loss history
